Love that iPhone look but hating the on-screen keyboard?  Don't worry, you're not alone; Ruddy Ugarte was so fed up at smushing his fingers against the touchscreen and ending up with typo-filled emails that he came up with My Touch Keys, a transparent screen protector with cut-outs for the iPhone's QWERTY keyboard.

Clinging to your iPhone's screen via static, the overlay apparently lets your fingers learn where the individual keys are, based on the texture.  Obviously in the photos they've added a blue tint so you can see it attached; in real life it's transparent, and My Touch Keys say it won't distract from watching video or even using gestures such as zooming in other apps.

Sold in packs of two, you can get the My Touch Keys overlay now for $7.99

great idea.. but if u use other apps then it can be a bit of a pain!

And do you switch overlays every time you use safari in landscape mode?

    Meh.

    Hey!

I got my pair about a week ago, it does not get in the way like i thought it would, it really does make a difference typing. You feel the so called depressions and all but doesnt really get in the way from scrolling and zooming. By the way when you do use it in landscape mode the overlay doesnt really get in the way but you still notice it though (the touch). Well hope this helps.

I purchased the pair from the MyTouchKeys.com and I feel the difference. A very helpful tool indeed.. Will you be making a version for landscape? I use that one more frequently. If you make a pair for landscape I wouldn’t mind picking up one. Using the other apps arent all that bad. You learn to hover your fingers over the texture and you’ll get used to it.

this is a good idea but I have to agree with aj and arebelspy. the overlay ruins the iPhone’s beautiful - flushed screen. It’s like covering up a gorgeous model with grandma clothing.

I am becoming very uninterested in going to myitablet.com, The site is very unorganized on iphonebuzz.com and its becoming very boring. SWITCH BACK TO OLD LOOK

I want this for emulators (NES/GBA/etc.). Until such a thing exists, they’re basically unplayable.

Don´t buy it !! SCAM !! I ordered my set more than two months ago and still waiting. They don´t reply to my e-mails.
